Step Up for Teachers
More than 90 delegations are coming from across the state for Step Up for Teachers Lobby Day on Monday, Feb. 13.
Spread the word. We all have a circle of influence. Use yours to help spread the word among your colleagues. Invite friends to the event. Encourage them to contact their lawmakers!
9 a.m. – Check-in, 1st Floor
Donuts and coffee, 2nd Floor
9 -11 a.m. – Visit with lawmakers
11 a.m. – #StepUpForTeachers program, 2nd Floor Rotunda
Noon - 1 p.m. – Lunch, 2nd Floor
12:30 p.m. – Continue visiting with your lawmakers
1:30 p.m.– House of Representatives convenes

- Remember the key points. Teachers need this $5,000 pay raise because there hasn't been a statewide raise in 10 years. Low teacher pay is decimating our workforce and hurting children.
- Wear something to show your school pride! Let your lawmakers know where you're from — their districts.
- Be respectful. Represent yourself, your community, your students and your school district with pride..
- Tell your story. Talk about how low pay and/or the teacher shortage has affected you.
Utilize all public parking around the State Captiol, including the south parking lot, the Governor's Mansion/overflow lot east of the Capitol, the Jim Thorpe Building to the west, and the History Center lot north of the Capitol.
