Rate:  $135 plus tax per room; deadline for reservations is March 31, 2012.
Embassy Suites is an all-suite hotel with free parking. Hotel reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly or by visiting OEA's Reservation page at Embassy Suites.

Delegate Credentials

The OEA Constitution and Bylaws requires that delegates shall be elected by secret ballot vote after an open nomination process with representation based on one delegate and one alternate for each six to 60 classroom teacher and/or education support professional members and one delegate and one alternate for each six to 60 administrator members of that local. Representation shall also be on the basis of proportional representation by ethnic minorities and a local that provides all-inclusive membership shall be on the basis of proportional representation by education position. Delegates and alternates shall be elected and certified by the OEA by March 15.

Delegate Trainings

Delegate Training dates and sites have been set by the OEA Board of Directors. This year’s Delegate Assembly Handbooks will be mailed later this month certified delegates. At the training sessions, delegates will review various sections of the handbooks, discuss the issues the delegates will debate at the Assembly and have a chance to ask questions about the proposed budget.
