This year's agenda features two separate tracks
OEA members will choose from two great organizing tracks designed to build Association power at the state and local level.
Track One -Working Together for Power will focus on building effective leaders, establishing strong relationships as well as other tools needed for local Associations to organize around the issues that impact OEA members, students and communities. Agenda items include ESP issues, Advocacy, Communications, Legislative, Membership Growth and Member Benefits.
Track Two – Working Together for Racial Justice in Education will allow participants the opportunity to learn about how the Association (national, state and local) is evolving in its work to advance NEA’s mission and vision through racial justice in education work. In addition, they will be provided with skills in outreaching and partnering with under-served or under-resourced communities. Key learnings will be shared as we continue to advance awareness, capacity building, and action in service of our students. Participants will have a better understanding of the intersections between the racial justice in education work and the strength and growth plan of the Association.
