Oklahoma Election Guide for February 12, 2019

Want to show your community how much you love them? Give everyone an early Valentine’s present by hitting the polls Tuesday, Feb. 12. Elections are scheduled across Oklahoma, so be sure to make your plan to vote that day.

Here are the local elections by county:

Alfalfa County

- Timberlake Public Schools, two propositions. Combined, the $2.1 million bonds will improve security and facilities at the elementary school and secondary school, as well as improve transportation.

Atoka County

- Clayton Public Schools, one school board member.

Beaver County

- Turpin Public Schools, three propositions. The $3 million bonds will repair science rooms and bathrooms at the junior high and high school, district-wide roof repairs, a new art room, transportation and other projects.

- Laverne Public Schools, one school board member.

Beckham County

- Canute Public Schools, one school board member.

- Hammon Public Schools, one school board member.

- Elk City, one proposition.

Blaine County

- Canton Public Schools, one proposition. The $2.9 million bond will fund a shop, stadium lights and a fieldhouse.

- Geary Public Schools, one proposition. The $36 million bond will build an entirely new campus.

- Lomega Public Schools, one proposition. The $15.4 million bond will overhaul the elementary.

- Okeene Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $650,000 for transportation, and Proposition 2 will raise $5.6 million for a new gym, bus barn, HVAC repairs at the high school, storm shelter conversion, technology upgrades, band equipment, auditorium upgrades, storage and parking improvements.

- Thomas-Fay-Custer Public Schools, one school board member.

Canadian County

- El Reno Public Schools, one school board member.

- Geary Public Schools, one proposition. The $36 million bond will build an entirely new campus.

- Maple Public Schools, one school board member.

- Mustang Public Schools, one school board member.

- Union City Public Schools, one proposition. The $465,000 bond will pay for 18 buses and two district vehicles.

- Mustang, one city council member.

- Oklahoma City, one city council member.

- Yukon, one city council member.

Carter County

- Springer Public Schools, one school board member.

- Velma-Alma Public Schools, one school board member.

- Wilson Public Schools, one proposition. The $360,000 bond will pay for transportation.

Cherokee County

- Tahlequah, mayor and two city council members.

Choctaw County

- Soper Public Schools, one proposition.

Cleveland County

- Moore Public Schools, one school board member.

- Mustang Public Schools, one school board member.

- Norman Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $182.5 million for storm shelters district-wide and other safety measures, such as improved doors, windows, security cameras, alarm systems, perimeter security and health services equipment. Proposition 2 will raise $3.5 million for transportation.

- Norman, mayor and three city council members.

- Oklahoma City, one city council member.

Cotton County

- Grandfield Public Schools, one school board member.

- Temple Public Schools, one proposition. The $995,000 bond will fund upgrades at the high school.

Craig County

- Bluejacket Public Schools, one school board member.

Creek County

- Allen-Bowden Public Schools, one school board member.

- Cleveland Public Schools, one school board member.

- Depew Public Schools, one proposition. The $180,000 bond will pay for transportation.

- Jenks Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 is $13.1 million and will fund expansion of the Freshman Academy, improvements to the soccer complex, new books, and upgrade technology, safety equipment and facilities district-wide. Proposition 2 is $1.3 million for transportation.

- Oilton Public Schools, one school board member.

- Tulsa Public Schools, one school board member.

- Bristow, mayor and one city council member.

Custer County

- Canute Public Schools, one school board member.

- Hammon Public Schools, one school board member.

- Clinton Public Schools, one school board member.

- Thomas-Fay-Custer Public Schools, one school board member.

- Weatherford Public Schools, one school board member.

Dewey County

- Canton Public Schools, one proposition. The $2.9 million bond will fund a shop, stadium lights and a fieldhouse.

- Seiling Public Schools, one school board member.

- Thomas-Fay-Custer Public Schools, one school board member.

Ellis County

- Fort Supply Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $525,000 for district maintenance, books, technology, security cameras and two district vehicles. Proposition 2 will raise $225,000 for district transportation.

- Laverne Public Schools, one school board member.

Garfield County

- Covington-Douglas Schools, one proposition. The proposition will rebuild the cafeteria, a new main entrance for the campus, a new University Center for distance learning, baseball lighting and security fencing.

- Kremlin-Hillsdale Schools, one school board member.

- Timberlake Public Schools, two propositions. Combined, the $2.1 million bonds will improve security and facilities at the elementary school and secondary school, as well as improve transportation.

- Waukomis Public Schools, two propositions. Combined, the $3.8 million bonds will buy technology, band instruments, books, a new ag facility, improvements at the baseball and softball fields, a new concession stand, basketball bleachers, remodeling the bus barn, and other upgrades.

- Enid, mayor and one city council member.

Garvin County

- Paoli Public Schools, one proposition. The $300,000 bond will pay for books, district vehicles, land purchases and new doors.

- Lindsay Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1 million for technology and vehicles, and Proposition 2 will raise $540,000 for transportation.

- Maysville Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $110,000 for technology, books, tables, chairs and district vehicles, and Proposition 2 will raise $110,000 for transportation.

Grady County

- Amber-Pocasset Public Schools, one public schools. The $23.5 million bond would pay for a new junior high and high school building, along with updates to the elementary school.

- Chickasha Public Schools, one school board member.

- Dibble Public Schools, one school board member.

- Newcastle Public Schools, one school board member.

- Ninnekah Public Schools, one school board member.

- Two county questions.

Grant County

- Kremlin-Hillsdale Schools, one school board member.

Greer County

- Mangum Public Schools, one proposition. The $695,000 bond will pay for a gym room; windows at the high school; and windows, roof and playground upgrades at the elementary,

Harmon County

- One county question.

Harper County

- Fort Supply Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $525,000 for books, technology, playground improvements, security cameras and district vehicles. Proposition 2 will raise $225,000 fro buses.

- Laverne Public Schools, one school board member.

Hughes County

- Weleetka Public Schools, one school board member.

- Wetumka Public Schools, one proposition. The $640,000 bond will pay for upgrading the gym.

Jackson County

- Altus, mayor and three council members.

Jefferson County

- Temple Public Schools, one proposition. The $995,000 bond will fund upgrades at the high school.

Johnston County

- Tishomingo Public Schools, one school board member.

Kay County

- Frontier Public Schools, one proposition. The $1.2 million bond will fund a school safe room.

- Shidler Public Schools, one proposition. The $16.8 million proposition will build a new middle and high school facility and remodel the auditorium.

- Ponca City, mayor.

Kingfisher County

- Covington-Douglas Schools, one proposition. The proposition will rebuild the cafeteria, a new main entrance for the campus, a new University Center for distance learning, baseball lighting and security fencing.

- Buffalo Valley Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $315,000 for upgrades to plumbing, lighting, the gym, the kitchen and the high school, as well as purchase school vehicles and remodel the high school. Proposition 2 will raise $85,000 for transportation.

- Wilburton Public Schools, two school board members.

Le Flore County

- Hodgen Public Schools, one proposition.

- Monroe Public School, one proposition. The $285,000 bond will pay for HVAC upgrades and repairs to the roof at the elementary school and gym.

- Poteau Public Schools, one school board member.

Lincoln County

- Chandler, one question.

Logan County

- Covington-Douglas Schools, one proposition. The proposition will rebuild the cafeteria, a new main entrance for the campus, a new University Center for distance learning, baseball lighting and security fencing.

- Edmond Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $90.7 million for districtwide upgrades, including technology, security, lighting, equipment, classrooms, storm shelters, and a practice gym. Proposition 2 will raise $2.3 million for transportation.

Love County

- Thackerville Public Schools, one school board member.

- Turner Public Schools, one proposition. The $925,000 bond will pay for a new FFA facility, an intercom system, security upgrades, classroom doors, water line upgrades and technology.

- Wilson Public Schools, one proposition. The $360,000 bond will pay for transportation.

McClain County

- Dibble Public Schools, one school board member.

- Lindsay Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1 million for technology and vehicles, and Proposition 2 will raise $540,000 for transportation.

- Maysville Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $110,000 for technology, books, tables, chairs and district vehicles, and Proposition 2 will raise $110,000 for transportation.

- Newcastle Public Schools, one school board member.

- Norman Public Schools, two propositions. - Sulphur Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.8 million for repairs district-wide, including floor fixes at the high school and roof renovation at the intermediate school. Proposition 2 will raise $55,000 for a student activity bus.

Muskogee County

- Braggs Public Schools, one school board member.

- Checotah Public Schools, one school board member.

- Haskell Public Schools, one school board member.

- Muskogee Public Schools, one school board member.

- Warner Public Schools, one school board member.

Noble County

- Covington-Douglas Schools, one proposition. The proposition will rebuild the cafeteria, a new main entrance for the campus, a new University Center for distance learning, baseball lighting and security fencing.

- Edmond Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $90.7 million for districtwide upgrades, including technology, security, lighting, equipment, classrooms, storm shelters, and a practice gym. Proposition 2 will raise $2.3 million for transportation.
