Oklahoma Election Guide for March 5, 2019

School bond elections are scheduled across the state Tuesday, March 5. What’s your plan to vote in the elections in your community?

Here are the local elections by county:

Caddo County

  • Verden Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $640,000 for air conditioning in the gym, carpeting, lighting, furniture, technology, cafeteria tables and a new bell system. Proposition 2 will raise $60,000 for an activity bus.

Cherokee County

  • Woodall Public Schools, one proposition. The $500,000 bond will pay for theater and music room renovations, paving, roof repairs, a new intercom system, playground resurfacing, cafeteria renovations and other repairs.

Craig County

  • Chelsea Public Schools, one proposition. The $900,000 bond will be used to buy the Chelsea Medical Clinic and remodel it into an arts facility.
  • Welch Public Schools, two propositions. The propositions, totaling $3.9 million, will fund a storm shelter, district vehicles, a new high school roof, accessibility upgrades, window and door replacements, playground renovations, refinished gym floors, athletic field renovations and other district projects.

Creek County

  • Oilton Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.6 million for kitchen renovations, technology, a new softball field, digital signs, gym renovations, a new playground and a new track. Proposition 2 will raise $335,000 for buses.

Garvin County

  • Elmore City-Pernell Schools, one proposition. Proposition 1 will raise $18.2 million for a new high school, a new gym, renovations at the football stadium, a secure entrance at the elementary, and upgrades to the ag facility.

Grady County

  • Verden Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $640,000 for air conditioning in the gym, carpeting, lighting, furniture, technology, cafeteria tables and a new bell system. Proposition 2 will raise $60,000 for an activity bus.

Jackson County

  • Altus Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $4.7 million for more classrooms and safe rooms at the Altus Early Childhood Center and Altus Primary School, resurfacing the junior high track, playground upgrades, security updates and other projects. Proposition 2 will raise $1.3 million for transportation.

Jefferson County

  • Two county questions.

Le Flore County

  • Pocola Public Schools, one proposition.
  • Spiro Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.1 million for districtwide security upgrades, HVAC repairs, and parking lot resurfacing, along with new gym bleachers and a football field scoreboard. Proposition 2 will raise $495,000 for transportation.

McClain County

  • Two county propositions.

Mayes County

  • Chelsea Public Schools, one proposition. The $900,000 bond will be used to buy the Chelsea Medical Clinic and remodel it into an arts facility.
  • Inola Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.9 million for technology, restroom renovations, safety improvements, lockers, books, wrestling equipment and facility upgrades, gym improvements, furniture, mowers, band and choir equipment and other items. Proposition 2 will raise $400,000 for transportation.
  • Pryor Creek, two city propositions.

Murray County

  • Elmore City-Pernell Schools, one proposition. Proposition 1 will raise $18.2 million for a new high school, a new gym, renovations at the football stadium, a secure entrance at the elementary, and upgrades to the ag facility.

Nowata County

  • Chelsea Public Schools, one proposition. The $900,000 bond will be used to buy the Chelsea Medical Clinic and remodel it into an arts facility.

Oklahoma County

  • Metro Tech Center, one proposition. The $80 million bond will build new facilities for aerospace, health, STEM, public safety and construction trades.

Osage County

  • Sand Springs Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $31.6 million for a new Freshman Academy and STEM Center, districtwide technology, books, districtwide repairs, paving, revamping Angus Gym, furniture, band equipment, bleachers, and other district projects. Proposition 2 will raise $1.3 million for transportation.

Ottawa County

  • Welch Public Schools, two propositions. The propositions, totaling $3.9 million, will fund a storm shelter, district vehicles, a new high school roof, accessibility upgrades, window and door replacements, playground renovations, refinished gym floors, athletic field renovations and other district projects.

Pawnee County

  • Town of Jennings, two propositions.

Payne County

  • Oilton Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.6 million for kitchen renovations, technology, a new softball field, digital signs, gym renovations, a new playground and a new track. Proposition 2 will raise $335,000 for buses.

Rogers County

  • Chelsea Public Schools, one proposition. The $900,000 bond will be used to buy the Chelsea Medical Clinic and remodel it into an arts facility.
  • Claremore Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $39.5 million for technology, districtwide security upgrades, districtwide repairs, a new STEM building for the high school, a new elementary school gym, an ag ed farm building, and other upgrades. Proposition 2 will raise $2 million for transportation.
  • Inola Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.9 million for technology, restroom renovations, safety improvements, lockers, books, wrestling equipment and facility upgrades, gym improvements, furniture, mowers, band and choir equipment and other items. Proposition 2 will raise $400,000 for transportation.

Sequoyah County

  • Roland Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $9 million for a multipurpose center and tornado shelter, roof repairs, football bleachers, softball changing rooms, two vans and other projects. Proposition 2 will raise $190,000 for buses.
  • Vian Public Schools, one proposition. The $900,000 bond will fund a new ag facility.

Stephens County

  • Elmore City-Pernell Schools, one proposition. Proposition 1 will raise $18.2 million for a new high school, a new gym, renovations at the football stadium, a secure entrance at the elementary, and upgrades to the ag facility.

Texas County

  • One county proposition.

Tulsa County

  • Sand Springs Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $31.6 million for a new Freshman Academy and STEM Center, districtwide technology, books, districtwide repairs, paving, revamping Angus Gym, furniture, band equipment, bleachers, and other district projects. Proposition 2 will raise $1.3 million for transportation.

Wagoner County

  • Inola Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.9 million for technology, restroom renovations, safety improvements, lockers, books, wrestling equipment and facility upgrades, gym improvements, furniture, mowers, band and choir equipment and other items. Proposition 2 will raise $400,000 for transportation.
