Oklahoma Election Guide for September 10, 2019

Elections are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019 in 49 Oklahoma counties. Be sure to make your plan to vote.

Here are the local elections by county:

Alfalfa County

  • Aline-Cleo Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $4 million for a classroom addition, a bus barn, lighting, roofs, HVAC, and other items. Proposition 2 will raise $215,000 for buses.

Beckham County

  • Sayre Public Schools, one proposition. The $5.5 million bond will fund classrooms, a PE building, and a secure front entrance at the elementary school; a STEM building at the secondary site; and cafeteria upgrades.
  • Canute Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $13.1 million for an event center and accessible restrooms. Proposition 2 will raise $630,000 for buses.

Blaine County

  • Canton Public Schools, one proposition. The $3.1 million bond will fund a fieldhouse, lighting, a shop, a new high school roof, and fencing and playground equipment at the elementary school. 
  • Hinton Public Schools, one proposition. The $925,000 bond is for buses.

Bryan County

  • Boswell Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $250,000 for a vo-ag building, a roof at the lower elementary, and other upgrades. Proposition 2 will raise $85,000 for transportation. 
  • Durant Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $46.1 million for technology, books, instruments, fine arts equipment, HVAC, maintenance, furniture, flooring, parking lots, and other items across the district. Proposition 2 will raise $2.5 million for transportation.

Caddo County

  • Carnegie Public Schools, one proposition. The $5.4 million bond will fund new roofs at the middle and high schools, an elementary school safe room, HVAC repairs, and other district-wide repairs. 
  • Hinton Public Schools, one proposition. The $925,000 bond is for buses. 
  • Apache, town proposition.

Canadian County

  • Cashion Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $10.9 million for security, a green house, six classrooms, upgrades at the middle and elementary schools, parking spots, and other projects. Proposition 2 will raise $8.9 million for a new track, concession stand, restrooms, dressing rooms, and an overhaul of the baseball facilities. 
  • One county proposition.

Carter County

  • Dickson Public Schools, one proposition. The $7 million bond will fund a new early childhood center, an elementary PE building, security upgrades, a new gym roof, covered walkways, HVAC, and lighting.

Cherokee County

  • Keys Public Schools, one proposition. The $2.8 million bond will fund an auxiliary gym at the high school, elementary school walkways and a cafeteria addition, and an animal science building.
  • Tahlequah, one city proposition.

Choctaw County

  • Boswell Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $250,000 for a vo-ag building, a roof at the lower elementary, and other upgrades. Proposition 2 will raise $85,000 for transportation.
  • Soper Public Schools, one proposition. The $480,000 bond is for a cafeteria expansion.

Comanche County

  • Lawton, one city council seat.

Craig County

  • Vinita, chief of police.

Creek County

  • Mounds Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $2 million for new playground equipment, a new track, renovations to the auditorium and gym, and a hitting facility. Proposition 2 will raise $500,000 for buses.

Custer County

  • Canute Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $13.1 million for an event center and accessible restrooms. Proposition 2 will raise $630,000 for buses. 
  • Clinton, one city council seat. 
  • Weatherford, one city council seat.

Dewey County

  • Canton Public Schools, one proposition. The $3.1 million bond will fund a fieldhouse, lighting, a shop, a new high school roof, and fencing and playground equipment at the elementary school.

Garvin County

  • Elmore City-Pernell Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $8.2 million for a new high school, a secure entry vestibule and parking lot at the elementary school, and improvements at the technology center. Proposition 2 will raise $11.3 million for a new gym, an overhaul of the football field and facilities, an ag facility, and instruments. 
  • Elmore City, one city council seat.

Grady County

  • Blanchard Public Schools, one proposition. The $31.3 million bond includes a new performing arts center, a football stadium and track at the high school, a safe room and cafeteria for the middle school, classroom renovations across the district.

Greer County

  • Sayre Public Schools, one proposition. The $5.5 million bond will fund classrooms, a PE building, and a secure front entrance at the elementary school; a STEM building at the secondary site; and cafeteria upgrades.

Harmon County

  • One county commissioner seat.

Harper County

  • Freedom Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $410,000 for repairs to the high school. Proposition 2 will raise $470,000 for repairs to the gym, including accessibility upgrades and a new gym floor.

Hughes County

  • Holdenville Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $645,000 for a multipurpose building at the elementary. Proposition 2 will raise $255,000 for transportation.

Jefferson County

  • Waurika Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.2 million for technology, roofing, HVAC, security, instruments, a playground at the elementary, a football concession stand, a vo-ag truck, and track resurfacing. Proposition 2 will raise $85,000 for buses.

Kay County

  • Tonkawa Public Schools, one proposition. The $925,000 bond will fund a classroom addition and security upgrades.

Kingfisher County

  • Cashion Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $10.9 million for security, a green house, six classrooms, upgrades at the middle and elementary schools, parking spots, and other projects. Proposition 2 will raise $8.9 million for a new track, concession stand, restrooms, dressing rooms, and an overhaul of the baseball facilities. 
  • Kingfisher Public Schools, one proposition. The $16.8 million bond will fund a new junior high, sidewalks and paving, a drop-off canopy, a new entryway at the gym, and a ticket booth. 
  • Dover, one town proposition.

Kiowa County

  • Carnegie Public Schools, one proposition. The $5.4 million bond will fund new roofs at the middle and high schools, an elementary school safe room, HVAC repairs, and other district-wide repairs.

Lincoln County

  • Luther Public Schools, one proposition. The $25.8 million bond will fund a high school gym and band room; a middle school safe room cafeteria, restrooms, and lockers; an elementary school media center safe room, security vestibule, cafeteria upgrades, classroom renovations and other projects; and an overhaul of the vo-ag barn.

Logan County

  • Cashion Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $10.9 million for security, a green house, six classrooms, upgrades at the middle and elementary schools, parking spots, and other projects. Proposition 2 will raise $8.9 million for a new track, concession stand, restrooms, dressing rooms, and an overhaul of the baseball facilities. 
  • Luther Public Schools, one proposition. The $25.8 million bond will fund a high school gym and band room; a middle school safe room cafeteria, restrooms, and lockers; an elementary school media center safe room, security vestibule, cafeteria upgrades, classroom renovations and other projects; and an overhaul of the vo-ag barn.

McClain County

  • Blanchard Public Schools, one proposition. The $31.3 million bond includes a new performing arts center, a football stadium and track at the high school, a safe room and cafeteria for the middle school, classroom renovations across the district.

McCurtain County

  • Idabel Public Schools, one proposition. The $9.5 million bond includes a football field, track, bleachers, press box, concession stand, restrooms, scoreboard and lighting; a new band room and safe room at the high school, and improvements to the vo-ag building at the high school.

McIntosh County

Major County

  • Aline-Cleo Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $4 million for a classroom addition, a bus barn, lighting, roofs, HVAC, and other items. Proposition 2 will raise $215,000 for buses. 
  • Canton Public Schools, one proposition. The $3.1 million bond will fund a fieldhouse, lighting, a shop, a new high school roof, and fencing and playground equipment at the elementary school.

Marshall County

  • Madill Public Schools, one proposition. The $15.5 million bond will fund a new event center and STEM classrooms.

Murray County

  • Elmore City-Pernell Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $8.2 million for a new high school, a secure entry vestibule and parking lot at the elementary school, and improvements at the technology center. Proposition 2 will raise $11.3 million for a new gym, an overhaul of the football field and facilities, an ag facility, and instruments. 
  • Davis, one city council seat.

Noble County

  • Tonkawa Public Schools, one proposition. The $925,000 bond will fund a classroom addition and security upgrades.

Oklahoma County

  • Crooked Oak Public Schools, one proposition. The $6.9 million bond will fund classroom improvements, more classrooms at the elementary, improvements to the secondary school media center, and campus improvements. 
  • Luther Public Schools, one proposition. The $25.8 million bond will fund a high school gym and band room; a middle school safe room cafeteria, restrooms, and lockers; an elementary school media center safe room, security vestibule, cafeteria upgrades, classroom renovations and other projects; and an overhaul of the vo-ag barn.

Okmulgee County

  • Mounds Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $2 million for new playground equipment, a new track, renovations to the auditorium and gym, and a hitting facility. Proposition 2 will raise $500,000 for buses.

Osage County

  • Pawhuska Public Schools, one proposition. The $350,000 bond is for transportation. 
  • Sperry, one town proposition.

Pawnee County

  • Maramec, one town proposition. 
  • Pawnee, mayor and two city council seats.

Pittsburg County

  • McAlester Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $1.5 million for technology throughout the district and STEM classrooms at the secondary schools.

Pontotoc County

  • Latta Public Schools, one proposition. The $17 million bond will fund an elementary school safe room, a new vo-ag building, and security, paving and other repairs throughout the district.

Pottawatomie County

  • Wanette Public Schools, one school board seat.

Pushmataha County

  • Antlers Public Schools, one proposition. The $14.2 million bond will fund a new middle school with a safe room and a new elementary school cafeteria. 
  • Soper Public Schools, one proposition. The $480,000 bond is for a cafeteria expansion.

Roger Mills County

  • Sayre Public Schools, one proposition. The $5.5 million bond will fund classrooms, a PE building, and a secure front entrance at the elementary school; a STEM building at the secondary site; and cafeteria upgrades.

Rogers County

  • Oologah-Talala Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $9.3 million for technology, books, a storm shelter, flooring, a new athletic facility and track, uniforms, band instruments, and upgrades to the bathrooms, pool, ag building, lighting, and HVAC system. Proposition 2 will raise $1 million for transportation.

Stephens County

  • Elmore City-Pernell Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $8.2 million for a new high school, a secure entry vestibule and parking lot at the elementary school, and improvements at the technology center. Proposition 2 will raise $11.3 million for a new gym, an overhaul of the football field and facilities, an ag facility, and instruments.

Tulsa County

  • Sperry, one town proposition.

Washita County

  • Canute Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $13.1 million for an event center and accessible restrooms. Proposition 2 will raise $630,000 for buses. 
  • Carnegie Public Schools, one proposition. The $5.4 million bond will fund new roofs at the middle and high schools, an elementary school safe room, HVAC repairs, and other district-wide repairs. 
  • New Cordell, one city proposition.

Woods County

  • Aline-Cleo Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $4 million for a classroom addition, a bus barn, lighting, roofs, HVAC, and other items. Proposition 2 will raise $215,000 for buses. 
  • Freedom Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $410,000 for repairs to the high school. Proposition 2 will raise $470,000 for repairs to the gym, including accessibility upgrades and a new gym floor.

Woodward County

  • Two county propositions.
