Senate Pro Tem Announces Interim Studies

Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat has announced which interim studies were approved for further study by the Oklahoma Senate this year.

Treat approved 72 interim studies, which must be finished by Nov. 8. 

 

The following are studies of interest to public education in Oklahoma.

  • Charter school sponsors' oversight responsibilities, requested by Sen. Ron Sharp (R-Shawnee)
  • Professional development requirements for school districts, requested by Sen. Carri Hicks (D-Oklahoma City)
  • Textbook adoption and funding reforms, requested by Sen. Mary Boren (D-Norman)
  • Reading Sufficiency Act amendments, requested by Sen. Paul Scott (R-Dunan)
