Social Media

The suspense is over. It’s time to announce the contest winners! And if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that you ROCK! We’re happy to know that locals are utilizing Facebook as an organizing and communication tool.

Here are the winners and some contest highlights:

1st Place: Tulsa CTA

In addition to increasing the number of members who connected with them on Facebook, TCTA members are consistently posting quality content. They are effectively using the group as an organizing tool, posting content to their group wall an average of 23 times per week! Content includes education news, information on upcoming meeting and events, OEA news and updates, and classroom and curriculum tips.

TCTA administration and members are engaging in conversation, discussing successes and challenges while recruiting, how they are responding to questions from perspective members and posing simple questions like, “Why are you a member?” to share insight with each other.

2nd Place: Moore ACT

Moore ACT rocks! They have also increased the amount of members engaging online. They are enhancing the local’s regular communication by posting education news and updates from OEA an average of 8 times a week.

During their back-to-school activities and events, Moore did a great job of encouraging each other, sharing ideas, and reporting the successes of their new events. Their members are proud to be a part of their association! They have also created groups for members with specialized interests.

3rd Place: Mid-Del ACT

Mid-Del ACT was brand new to the world of social media, but they have jumped in and become very active, organizing members and sharing association communication. They also post great content to their wall, including upcoming events, OEA news and updates, education headlines, and anecdotes from their president!

Special Recognition:

We want to recognize Enid EA for doing such a great job with connecting with their members online! During the contest, their page fans grew from 35 to 116. That’s a 238% increase!

Winners will be contacted to claim their prizes. Thank you to all the locals that participated in the contest!
