Middle Level Math (OTIMMS)

Learn About Student Centered Activities!

WHO: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math teachers (including special education teachers)
WHAT: OTIMMS (offered by the Oklahoma Education Association & sponsored by the State Department of Education)
WHEN: June 7-11, 2010
WHERE: Taft Middle School, Oklahoma City, OK

The Two Tracks

1. Academy

(not yet certified for middle level math)

  • 40 hours of content instruction to prepare for middle level math certification test

2. Leadership

(presently certified middle level math)

  • 40 hours of professional growth topics include:
    • lesson development
    • technology
    • assessment

Both tracks will participate in an additional 20 hours of self-selected follow-up experiences.
