Professional Development Just for Alternative Certified Teachers

The Oklahoma Education Association is proud to offer a series of professional development sessions just for Alternatively Certified Teachers.
The series, offered free of charge to alternatively certified teachers, will help you meet Oklahoma State Department of Education requirements for professional development clock-hours towards certification. You’ll also develop skills and techniques you can use in your classroom the very next day. All sessions are facilitated by National Board Certified Teachers.
Passed trainings have featured the following sessions:
- Oklahoma PASS Skills and Common Core State Standards Integration
- Top 10 Mistakes That Lead to Teacher Discipline and Legal Liability
- The What, Who, and How of Inclusion and IEPs
- Parental Involvement: Partnerships for School and Student Success
- Marzano’s "Classroom Instruction that Works"
- "I Can Do It!" (classroom management)
