The Work of OEA

The Oklahoma Education Association is among the most democratic organizations in the state. From the building level to the National Education Association, leaders are elected to their offices by the members they represent. The OEA has three main levels of leadership - Governance, which includes a full-time release president and vice president and an NEA Director who represents OEA members on the national board of directors; the OEA Board of Directors, which is made up of directors elected to represent a geographic zone or at-large body of membership (e.g. support professionals and administrators); and the Delegate Assembly, which is comprised of delegates representing their local associations who annually vote on a budget and determine the programs and services of the association. Below you will find three videos that outline the duties and responsibilities of all off three bodies.
