The governor and legislative leaders announced their plan today for next year’s budget, which includes a $171.8 million increase in public education appropriations.
OEA President Alicia Priest Responds
“This budget does a lot of good for Oklahoma students and their families. Our students will especially benefit from funding to lower class sizes, a record-breaking $3.2 billion for public schools, and an investment in broadband. This is good news at the end of a challenging, once-in-a-lifetime school year. We look forward to an ongoing commitment to public education from the Oklahoma Legislature and the governor.”
