Sergio Martinez recently joined the Oklahoma Education Association staff as the assistant for the Legislative and Political Organizing and Communications centers.
A graduate of the Classen School of Advanced Studies in Oklahoma City, Martinez brings a good deal of political staff experience. He was an intern for State Sen. Michael Brooks before working as a congressional intern in U.S. Rep. Kendra Horn’s district office in Oklahoma City. He later worked for Rep. Horn as a campaign organizer and then as a canvasser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee during the 2020 elections.
Martinez is a student at Oklahoma City Community College where he is working toward an associate’s degree in diversified studies. At OCCC, he is president of the Student Government Association and served on the college’s presidential search committee.
